What did you think of the episode? It was a little strange to me, and I don't quite think the moral meshed with what happened, or it didn't do so well enough.

I didn't watch it yet, but I did watch the preview and Babs' voice is really annoying to me lol

I liked it. The fact that the CMC thought they were being bullies was a bit... out of place, but I think the ending worked well.

And is it me, or are the songs much better this series? Some other songs are good, but so far the song in this, and the Crystal Fair Song, have been awesome.

Why do I keep getting the idea that Apple Bloom's VA has been changed? She sounded different in this episode, to me, for some reason.

I'm only feeling the reprise of the Failure song and the Crystal Fair song so far. This song is a little too poppy for my taste, though the chorus is okay.

I agree with everything you said.

I'm not sure what I think about it. I don't really like stories that excuse bullying because the bully was being picked on by someone first. Especially in this case as it might explain Babs' behaviour but it doesn't explain Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon and they were still the 'bad guys' at the end.

Song was catchy though.

The message was terrible. How were they bullies? Babs stole the float from them. Not only that she was a huge prick to them. I really did not like this episode.

The CMC are overall not as interesting to me as the Mane Six, for one thing. They were actually a little more interesting than usual this episode, and maybe overall a little more mature? As in, longer attention spans and more focus. idk

The plot really annoyed me, though. Babs was a jerk to the CMC yet they ended up being the bad guys? Was I the only one hoping to see the booby trap prank work, and Babs get her comeuppance? Being picked on yourself is absolutely no excuse to be an ass to others - especially someone who has been hospitable and goes out of their way to welcome and accommodate you.

The song was really good, though the animation during the chorus was annoying.

Also, Babs herself was pretty annoying. Her voice was really irritating and her design wasn't all that special.

The little things I liked: the luster dust, Pinkie Pie's brief appearance (she is so easygoing - I mean her float is destroyed and she just makes a joke about it!), carrot crepes (is it just me or do those sound really good?), and I actually really enjoyed Sweetie Belle's and Apple Bloom's voice acting.

Still hoping Scootaloo gets her own episode at some point.

eheheheh....well...I do kinda prefer not to know the content of the episodes until I see them...

I think the message was to rise above any bullying and not do it at all. To be a better person (or pony, in this case) who doesn't reciprocate or spread the bullying.

In that aspect, they really should have had the CMC saying something along those lines, instead of just apologizing and admitting their mistake.

I am also irritated that the other message was telling an adult about it. Sometimes that doesn't do anything at all, or makes it even more humiliating. *speaking from experience on the latter, unfortunately*

Yes, this. Because if the message is "rise above" then Babs was doing waaaaaaaay worse than the CMC. Yet they brushed her behavior off like it was nbd. That really bothered me.

re: telling an adult: I think it makes sense in the context of the show because AJ and Rarity are obviously trustworthy. And in general telling an adult is a better idea (if you're a child, like the CMC) than trying to handle it on their own, though I can definitely see where you're coming from, as it depends on the adult, and could backfire.
