I can understand that. I don't like it when a game forces me to play with another person just so I can get the whole story. This is because I don't really have friends who are into the same games I am. Our schedules conflict most of the time anyway so getting one of them to sit down with me to get through an entire game would be a nightmare. Playing online isn't an option for me because I hate playing with strangers and on top of that I find a lot of the online gamers I've met are jerks, so it takes the fun out of it.

So, I can understand the want for the AI to take over in scenarios like this. Heck. I wish for it too.

Ditto this and also I have a PS3 while most of my friends are 360 gamers. There are a lot of reasons why playing with friends isn't always an available option especially when you're adults, and playing with randos online can be a miserable experience.

Yeah, that's another problem. I feel like developers are trying to make gaming more about friends and connections, like board games and card games are. However, I feel they're doing it at the expense of people like us who can't or won't because of the above reasons. Or heck, maybe some people just want to play alone and they should be given that option without being, well, punished in a way by not getting the full experience.

This is why I do most of my gaming on PC. It's the great equalizer -- pretty much everyone already has one!
