Related to the anal secret: anyone else tried anal? Did you like it?

I'd always heard these horror stories about how painful and awful it was, requiring hours of buildup and fingering and toys and gallons of lube, but my first time was just in the middle of doggie style with the lights off my boyfriend accidentally stuck it in the wrong hole. No prep, no lube, just right in there all the way. It didn't hurt at all. He was all "sorry!!!" and I was like "no, it's fine actually, keep going if you want". What's all the fuss about?

I think disliking or liking anal is a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. In my circle of TMI friends, the people who liked it went in expecting to like it, partly because of masturbation trial-and-error. The people who didn't like it...didn't. Also, there was some correlation with enjoyable anal and boyfriends who actually listened to their girlfriend/boyfriend, so there's that as well.

Guy here but, since I've done it with a few parnters, I think it's gonna be different from person to person, like a lot of things.

I always feel awkward when people get all antsy about minimal prep in fic and mock how unrealistic it is because when I first started experimenting I kinda just went for it and had a great time. So this thread is validating.

Yeah, if you're relaxed and you happen to be someone who can unclench enough for it, it's not really hours of buildup etc. I actually had a similar scenario to yours and it -- ha, ha -- opened me up to the idea of anal. Like, wow, who knew?

I've tried it while masturbating (dildoes & fingers both) and never got a damn thing from it. Didn't hurt, but wasn't exactly comfortable or pleasurable, either, no matter how much lube was used or how slow I went. None of my current partners seem to be particularly into the idea of either giving or receiving, so at the moment it's a non-issue.
