I actually really would have liked Blaine to be bisexual, as it was hinted at with the Rachel thing. But so many people were up in arms because it was somehow taking away the image of a "confident gay man". Sigh.

na

Wait, weren't the people who were up in arms actually in canon? I remember that Kurt gave Blaine some kind of anti-bisexual speech (because Kurt is Murphy's mouthpiece and Murphy is a dick) and Blaine realized that Kurt was right and he was silly for thinking he might have been bisexual

That show had a lot of problems with bisexuality. They went from having Santana confidently enjoying having sex with anything and anyone (and to my knowledge, they never even mentioned the word "bisexual") to having her decide that she was actually a lesbian who was insecure about her sexuality because...ratings I guess. And Brittany only ever got to be called "bicurious" (that could have changed, but I haven't seen the show in a while)

Yeah, Kurt was a total dick about that (and I usually like Kurt). As I recall Blaine was pissed off about that comment though, so at least that's something.

But I think it would have been so much more interesting if he actually chose Kurt over Rachel, instead of "gay now!".

But anyway, I heard a lot of backlash about it from the fans too, because you know, kissing girls is yucky...or something. Well, that's downplaying it a bit - but basically it boiled down to the fact that some fans thought that Blaine would be less of a strong example to Kurt (and young gay boys watching) if he liked girls too.

Last episode I've seen Brit was like "I haven't been seeing anyone, boy or girl" - so it seems they're sticking with it, but still not using the word.
