(Anonymous) 2012-11-25 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)I am Hindu and from a Hindu family, my entire family is vegetarian, my grandmother, mother and myself have all been vegetarian from birth, so have most of my cousins, aunts, etc.
Lots of Hindus are vegetarians. Some eat chicken and fish, but a good chuck of us are vegetarian. In my community (which is Hindu) we were brought up to treat animals with love and respect and that eating them was wrong.
