I got axe, sub, coffin... not sure about knife, safe/letter and true ending. I actually don't remember how safe/letter really ENDS, but I think it's slightly less horrible than the rest.

Aw, no need to apologize! I love Britta, so it's always fantastic to find others who do, too. So far I've been fortunate in fandom circles, as most I encounter adore her (though I've found a lot of Annie hate, which bums me out). She's so earnest and human and I love it ♥

Cory Booker is about to embark on the SNAP challenge, which is to live for a week as if you were on food stamps (which apparently evens out to about $4.25 per day). The whole idea is to get a taste of what it's like and to dispel this myth of people living the high life on the tax payers' dimes.

So, I decided I'd try it too, and am catching no end of grief from people who are all "You're just exploiting poor people!! You won't really know what it's like because YOU CAN ALWAYS QUIT, AND THEY CAN'T!!!!!!!"

And I think that's kind of ridiculous. Not the fact that I obviously have an out if I chose to take it but the idea that there is nothing of value to be gained and in fact harm to be done by trying to see things from/get something of an understanding of a perspective other than my own.

It's so...idek, revealing of the depths of a man's soul, imo. When a woman does something similar, it seems to speak to the mothering instinct. When a man does it, there is usually something vastly visceral and wrenching about it that can't be easily captured in words.

It makes me so happy that no one has read this yet and launched into a tirade about how it's some sort of misogynistic double standard. Because it's not, and I agree with you.

I've always thought that - the new one over exagerates what he feels in the failings in the last. That's why Five was so nice but under confident, and that's why Six was such a dick. I love him, and him and Peri are awesome, but he was a dick! :)

Too many people here saying 'same!' It makes me sad. You guys should all start an 'obscure fandom' thread here at F!S and every secret post have a new discussion about a particular obscure fandom, posted by the OP and everyone who feels the same.

Maybe you'd find friends, or other fans, or just get some of the readers here to check out your fandom. AND, at least there would be one place to be fannish about it....

This probably won't help you, but...I'm a fully grown adult, and I still can't subtract/add in my head. I just can't do it.

However, I got a minor in math because I'm ace at calculus, imaginary numbers, and differential equations. It's possible that arithmetic just isn't something she can learn.
