(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
wow did this really happen? I never heard the trolling cancer one before

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
This is exactly was I was going to say! I have the same problem, I didn't like Amy and I'm pretty negative about Clara's character. Although I hope I actually like her, I'm watching old!Who now, starting with Four, and I have to say I really like Sarah Jane, Harry and of course Tom Baker's Doctor.

Re: Physical acts you have a non-sexual thing for?

"Plus I was specifically talking about it happening between two people you wouldn't expect it to and them not noticing anything unusual in the level of their closeness."

Oh, right. I guess I'm really oblivious to social cues. I never thought of it as a sign of how close people are. It's just a /thing/. /o\

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
If I had to guess, it's probably based on the idea that men like getting in their enemies' faces and beating the tar out of them, while women want to take out their enemies from far away, aka a "safe" distance away. Apparently, when women play CoD, the other team's like "NO SNIPERS TODAY BOYS, THERE'S LADYPARTS BEHIND THEIR TEAM'S SNIPER RIFLE".

I also get a thrill out of getting that clean heatshot out of nowhere. The idea of a little frat boy cussing and throwing his controller in frustration makes me giddy. :3

Cheerios! Or fruit loops. You can use the colors for groupings of fives and tens. So 7=5+2 and 7+7=5+5+2+2.

I found a link--I suppose I should be embarrassed that I remembered as much of this as I do.

well that was unexpected

I'm glad I never heard of this before, it made me want to stab something a lot

thanks, I guess

Re: Oh you, Tumblr.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, I'm fairly sure this is an admitted troll--isn't she the one who a few months ago was writing impassioned screeds about how oppressed she was as a person who was trans-ethnic and trans-abled and also part of a multiple system that included fae and maybe some sort of immortal winged cyborg furry. And how it was so UNFAIR of her parents to expect her to get a job--because she only looked like a grown-up human; inside she was really a cat.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It hasn't changed at all.

Sex is no big deal. But the pairing has been successfully handled. You make it sound like people are trying to force themselves on him. Amy might be persistent but she's not tear off his clothes or attempting molest him in his sleep.

Best comment.

Like radians but riddian ;)

I swear there's someone here whose name is riidan or something similar. I always have to look at the username twice to figure out if it's you or not.

These photos are gorgeous. I especially like the last sunrise one. I think you were the winner here so don't apologize!

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have any links for this? I watched the whole Laptopgate thing go down and don't remember anyone coming forward to admit that there was no robbery.

Re: A Stunning Example of Not Getting It

AYRT

Sadly, yes. One, that as much as I'd like to claim it's ignorance [or just sheer stupidity on her part] I can't make that claim for, I've known since I was baby. She's made a lot of doozy claims including accusing my of ~not caring~ about people w/o healthcare...despite that fact I was without health care at the time. Her biggest doozy was probably the fact that she felt Atheist were ~horribly~ oppressed because of the dollar bill. Not for any other reason, just because of the dollar bill.

The other...would come off as an even bigger troll than this person because they manage to be both one of the biggest bigots I've ever met, and one of the most annoying SJWs I've ever run across. For example, I've heard her argue that 'How dare people judge trans-ethnics! Because...' [for the record, she also seemed to confuse 'Trans-ethnic' with 'mixed race'...and not get those things weren't the same thing.] and then turn around and go 'LOL, racism isn't a problem if you stop worrying about it!' - and being pretty damn racist in her own right. She's also proven to be misogynistic, and homophobic - but still SJWs for pretty much anything else, and is dead serious about all of it.

You're right, they didn't say that, I did read that wrong. But they were still condescending =/

In fairness, I don't think Heidi or Cassie set these people on--not even in the "will no one rid me of this turbulent cancer priest cancer patient?" sense. But there were plenty of people who would have done anything to suck up to them. And MsScribe was just purely hateful, but then MsScribe actually was a case of Munchausen by Internet herself. If you can't resist internet drama check out the MsScribe story:

http://www.journalfen.net/community/bad_penny/1074.html

It has everything.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
dude, there was just one sentence about you
"You need to reread the books, mate."

the rest of the comment was about who regulus was. you're reaching.

chill.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, it's just a TV show, and we all know that popular media certainly doesn't have any effect on how people think and treat each other.

[personal profile] diet_poison 2012-11-28 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
ahahahahah, no. Telling me to chill is about the fastest way to get my back up.

I felt that line was condescending. You may disagree. I don't care.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
you must have a different definition of mate or something but okay, we agree to disagree

bye

(Anonymous) 2012-11-28 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Or it just so happens that what is decent-to-good in your opinion is shit in that of the others. I judge art by its quality, not the subject of the picture and most of SanSan fan art that I've seen is hilariously bad, not to mention inaccurate to the books.

YOU LIEK A POP SONG THAT OTHER PEOPLE LIEK OH NOES

Man. Whatever happened to just liking what you like and disliking what you don't like? (Answer: it never existed, probably.)
manifold: A travel poster of a Computer vomiting a rainbow, with the headline: "Bored? Scroll the infinite pages of the INTERNET." (internet vomits rainbows)

[personal profile] manifold 2012-11-28 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm guessing it's fandom because of the mention of "terrible music videos". Which makes sense, because it's a catchy pop song that can apply to a lot of ships and such.
manifold: Sean Connery next to the words, "Double-O RLY?" (O RLY)

…complete with comic sans.
