I prefer Max, but I don't think there's anything wrong with liking Caroline more. She's smart, ambitious, and has had to cope with a helluva lot recently.

On a side note: I ship Max with Caroline's Dad. I think I'm weird for it.

I hate to "pick sides" with couples I ship (especially f/f ones), but I agree with you in that I'm way more attached to Caroline than to Max. It definitely sounds like we're in the minority, though, and I find it interesting.

(This is kinda why I'm glad this show's femslash fandom is so small and quiet, because the bigger a fandom gets (see: Myka/HG Wells, Rizzoli/Isles), it inevitably turns into fandom gushing their panties off over one half of the couple and the other getting at best an "Oh she's cute," and at worst, outright blamed when stuff doesn't go the fandom's way, ship-wise.)

But the most adorable bit of the Rizzoli/Isles pairing is how they interact with each other - not either of them individually.

I know, I totally agree, but I've personally been through several f/f ships where, at worst, one half got the brunt of the fandom's reproaches/anger/ranting simply because they were more attracted to the other half, so I'm not used to fandom simply enjoying a ship for their interactions.

Yeah, I've seen it in all ships. Fans pick a favorite and then anytime anything goes wrong its always the other person's fault, and their favorite is the angel and blah blah blah.

But Rizzoli/Isles is the best femslash pairing since Xena/Gabriella, IMO.

Racist, sexist, full of really bad sex jokes (I mean, I laugh but other people think this is like the worst thing ever)...also terrible stereotypes of pretty much anyone.

In most ways. It's kind of like a female version of Two and a Half Men but not quite that bad. But the friendship between the two leads is genuinely cute a lot of the time, so there's that

It's alright. It tends to be a bit stereotypical-bordering-on-outright-racist sometimes but aside from that it's usually pretty funny. The two main characters work well together and they're really the show's strength.
