I'm now making a headcanon where after the death of her husband, he broke in with some good booze and she considered having him sent to a black site somewhere for it, but just didn't feel like it, so they sat around and talked. and then a few months later, he comes back with a cool souvenir of some mission, and then somehow he's showing up there regularly with takeout or drinks and then one thing leads to another, and somehow now they're sleeping together.
