Well, yes. But my default position when dealing with trolls is to engage them as if they were serious. If nothing else, it's good practice in keeping calm and constructing arguments against the patently ridiculous.

Patience and bloody-mindedness are so frequently confused. That's why one of my major couple activities with aforementioned boyfriend is getting into arguments with young-earth creationists on YouTube. That's definitely bloody-mindedness. Patience would imply there was a point. :p
