Creeped out

I'm currently on house/pet watch for friends of my family while they're off in Thailand for two weeks and I brought my cats along. The cats are shacked up in the basement, as they don't get along with the resident cat or the dogs.

Anyway, I'm down there with my kitties, to cuddle and feed them, but they're staring out toward the next room and growling. Freaks me out something terrible. I know, it's probably the washingmachine that spooks them or they hear the dogs upstairs, but damn... ( And soon I'll have to walk out to the barn and fix up some bags of hay for the horses. Sun went down five hours ago. *chills*)

I would be so freaked out if I was you. Like, I would be totally panicking, cause that's some horror-movie stuff. Good luck.

I'm legitimately kind of relieved that you update (as dumb as it makes me feel that a part of me actually thinks about weird horror-movie stuff as something to be worried about).

Continue to be on your guard, though! This might be the part of the movie where the protagonist is lulled into a false sense of security. Constant vigilance!

Kitties tend to do freaking strange things and be afraid of something non-existent.

That they do. We'll be back home next sunday, at least. No scary invisible things there, heh.

Thank you. Stupid thing is I like creepy movies and books and stuff, but I'm terribly scared of the dark. I'm back indoors now and going to bed in a few minutes. Gotta get up at 4.30 so that I manage all animal-related chores before work. ( My ride picks me up at 6.)

Oh god, no! If the owners had that, I would've asked them to send to someone else for he duration of my stay. I hate clowns!

Pretty severe storms are sweeping from west to east coast in the States, today. Could be they're acting psychotic from the inbound weather systems.

FWIW, my cats do that shit a lot when there's bad weather.

It's pretty calm here in my part of Sweden, though. My guess is that they where scared by the washing machine. They haven't seen one since they were little babies.

My cat once jumped a foot and a half into the air when someone rustled a plastic bag. Cats can get freaked out by the weirdest things!
