Would it be weird to friend someone on LJ/DW solely because they keep requesting kinks you enjoy at a kinkmeme or kink_search community? Or is that totally cool to do.

I think the polite thing would be to message them and ask them if it's okay if you friend them, give them the reason for friending them and mention where you found them.
