Brennan has always been a bit subject to writing-by-stereotype. The Season 1 Christmas episode was an early and particularly egregious example, and I bailed on the show for a while, only to pick it up when it was less of a problem (and I had a bit of Sweets love). Increasingly as the series went on, you had Brennan mouthing offensively bad, stereotypical, OOC bullshit primarily to give Booth the last word of the episode. After a few too many times of the writers using her as the straw-feminist and straw-atheist I just gave up on it.
