I think, as you said, a lot of people have issues with the fact it's not Peter Parker. They would have had issues with anyone not Peter Parker,black or white.

I haven't been buying Spiderman for years, but this certainly didn't make me feel any more tempted to buy it again.

Worse, now they are doing the same with Superior Spiderman!

It looks like it's going to be Miguel O'Hara, whom I actually liked, but this is still a bad idea. We already have "edgy willing to kill spiderman" in Kaine. we don't need two.
