Peter Parker is Spiderman, period. I feel the same way about Batman - Bruce Wayne, without exception.

Anyone else just feels like a fanfic. I don't care if Marvel's the one doing it, either. In that case, it feels like they're trying to forcibly divert a preexisting canon in to a new intellectual property in an attempt to avoid actually building a fandom. Just slap Spiderman on it, fans will eat it up!
