(Anonymous) 2012-12-04 02:33 am (UTC)(link)I'm a woman in a male-dominated field and I'm paying off student loans and will be for years, possibly even the next decade. If I want to have any security in my older years (assuming I don't have a partner, because it's best to assume that) then I simply cannot afford kids even if I wanted them. I have a brother, and he adores kids; my mother can have grandkids from him.
