ayrt

Bendis hate is preferable to out right "no, not a black boy!" ;) I wouldn't really know as this is the first comic I've read where he's the listed author. (I don't actually read that many comics. Miles as Spiderman, Batwoman and the Phantom are my interests)

The Ultimate comics are meant to eventually join up in some way, right? (That's the feeling I'm getting). I'm not looking forward to that because I don't want to read the Xmen and Ultimate ones as well. So I'm hoping I can still follow it through one of the stories.

At this point, even if I did stop enjoying it I'd probably buy the rest of the issues in the hope I would enjoy it again or just for completionists sake (depending on how long it's going to get. IDK.). But so far I'm still enjoying ;)

Marvel has a multiverse, right? Multiple universes and all, which has been used to explain some of the old silver age stuff that completely contradicts everything else, and gives authors some breathing room if they want to do a different interpretation

Some multidimensional people monitored and cataloged a lot of them. The mainstream "regular universe" Is Universe #616. All ultimate titles come from Universe #1610. (the MCU, btw, is 199999)

Meta, the whole idea of the ultimate universe was to start anew for new readers. The goal was to more realistic (and look more like the movies). So characters would die here and NOT come back. Each title could stand on it's own, without chocking you down in continutity. No title would require you to read another title to get the story. And there'd be no crossover with 616 (that'd be lazy writing)

At this point in time, every one of those statements has been contradicted directly. Mmmyep.
