As for Batgirl I think DC shot themselves in the foot there since their only depiction of Batgirl outside of comics was always Barbra. Similar to how people bitched about Starfire not being like Teen Titans Starfire. People who watch the toons only know Batgirl as Barbra. Speaking of the Teen Titans Cartoon there was another chance they missed with pimping the linked comic with the show.

It's weird when you mention Nightwing and people only NOW just seem to get it unless they watched the animated series in the 90's. Some people still believe Dick was the ONLY Robin.

It's kind of sad that people only think of Babs as Batgirl-- especially since her run as Oracle was way more interesting to read... and mentoring Cass and Steph as Batgirls was amazing.
