Someone (or many someones) in the Danny Phantom crew had a talent for this.

Genuinely serious scene that shows the audience that SHIT JUST GOT REAL? Make an awkward joke. Who wants dramatic tension? What is that?

Also, shove toiler humor anywhere. And have eye blinking have an audible sound effect, because people watch this show for the silliness and not the action, or the plot or the characters, right? Right?!

...yep, gonna have to agree with you. I adore corny puns, but for the love of all things holy, could they just leave the dramatic moments alone?
