I hate the ones that act like certain het pairings are canon. I run an ask blog for the main character in my fandom, and canonically he had a bit of romantic subtext with a few different people, but never settled down. So that's how I play him, and every time he gets a shippy question, he acts annoyed and brushes it off ICly.

But there's another ask blog, for one of his potential-but-never-confirmed love interests, which claims that her character is ~happily married~ to mine. And she keeps trying to drag me into it and make me play along. And it's really weird.

nayrt, I help with a massive ask blog that covers several characters from a pretty big series, and whenever we get a shippy question we straight-up toss it, because the fandom is REALLY passionate about shipping. The only ships we'll even consider touching are the married couples and the characters whose entire focus was obsessing over another character and were about 3 seconds away from a restraining order. Even if it's pretty much canon, if they didn't have their Big Damn Kiss or say "I do," we won't touch it. We also don't interact with people who send us in-character letters as characters from the series.
We may have lost some followers over it, but whatever, we refuse to fuel their ship wars~
