(Anonymous) 2012-12-06 07:26 am (UTC)(link)I think my only problem with S5 is that, because suddenly the world was so big and so terrible and the story was on this huge, grand scale, I ended up being a little bit underwhelmed. There just wasn't a budget or time or ability, I think, to really properly do the storyline complete justice, and delve into all the really interesting bits and such. Especially the last few episodes felt a bit rushed. But I guess that's what fic is for, and while I do generally feel S5-8 are weaker seasons, I really don't think they are terrible or as bad as so much of fandom likes to make them out to be.
