A ladies' man can be bi. James Bond isn't, though. This isn't a new character that some movie studio invented. He's a literary character who has been adapted for the screen. The canon for both film and literature negate him being anything other than heterosexual, and that's not counting all the legalities surrounding the character. Since OP is familiar with the movie canon, they're probably well aware of all this. I'd be surprised if it isn't part of their discomfort with shipping Bond with another male.
