Uh, the DSi is just a newer iteration of the DS. They're not different systems; they're both meant to play DS games, the only difference is that the DSi has some improved hardware and a few new features.

The DS is almost ten years old now. That's a dinosaur in video game years.

Yeah, they are.
It's not like the DS Lite is even that old, it's only 6 years old, just like the PS3. The original DS is 8, not 10 years old.

I'm just glad that I never did get to buy the DSi now that I know I need the 3DS for AC. It felt like Nintendo had a new kind of DS out every 6 months, but they're so useless, because it's just a bigger version? I don't want a giant-ass 3DS, I want a 3DS in a better color.

I've only had my DS for 6 months! (yes I bought it secondhand lol, only way I could get it)
