Seriously? Wow. (Although doing a quick search for "mlp" on youtube gives me the most recent episode, what are probably the most watched episodes, and some Know Your Meme things, so depending on how young the kid is s/he should be able to figure out that they don't want the one with photos of humans in it....)

"Princess Celestia" with safe mode on strict gets me stock photos. The first time even Trollestia shows up is page four, and that's the most inappropriate it gets. "Twilight Sparkle" gets me basically the same thing: vectors, screencaps, fanart, some humanizations, etc. So do "mane six", "mlp", "Fluttershy", "Rainbow Dash", the rest of the main cast, and even "Discord". "Chrysalis", too, gets me nothing more adult than what happened on the show.

So... maybe Google cleaned up its act since then? The one character who had anything inappropriate within the first four pages was Trixie, and even then it wasn't in the top results.
