I've never heard her sing, OP, but I can agree with disliking breathy, high-pitched vocals in general. Most of--actually, all of the fandoms I'm in have shockingly low standards for what constitutes "good" vocal music.

I loved the first HTDA EP (at least most of the songs) and what I've heard about the new stuff makes me reluctant to listen D:

It's a matter of preference, really. I thought the new song was catchy and I didn't mind the vocals.
