Luigi's Mansion

Looking through an old magazine, I came across a walkthrough for Luigi's Mansion that I remember had this line that I never quite understood.

(The line that I'm curious about is bolded.)

"Second Area

Bathroom

The only door that hasn't been opened yet on the first floor is the bathroom (luckily, because otherwise, accidents happen!), capture that ghosts in this room and you'll get a key to continue your adventure; don't worry if it's beyond your reach, you can suck it with your Poltergust 3000."


What accidents? I remember looking through walkthroughs on the internet but I found no reference to any of this.

Does anyone know what this line means?

Isn't it just a joke about how if you can't get to the bathroom in time you might wet yourself?

Possibly! I considered that, and it's probably that? Maybe I'm just too literally minded, because I kept trying to parse it through the context of the videogame itself.

Because most of the accidents that happen in the home happen in the bathroom?

Maybe I'm just reading it more, but I keep associating the "accidents happen" part with the condition of not having opened the door yet in that part of the game. Maybe this would be clearer if I actually played the game and tried to open the door myself?
