Oh God this reminds me of my "friend" from when I was just a little older as that OP. She had swept me in this whole elaborate RP-we-honestly-believed-was-true, except in our case the men were Brian Littrell and Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys

ETA: Or the other girl who had me convinced she was talking to Hanson over AIM and that Zac was in love with me. That happened until she had suckered this guy into dating her in 7th grade (the funniest part of this story is that the guy in question is now my boyfriend.)
