i was so nervous to look at the replies to my secret in case it was full of that type going "OMFG TRANSTRENDER!! YOU CAN'T LIKE CUTE THINGS AND BE A MAN YOU JUST HAVE INTERNALIZED MISOGYNY BLAH BLAH BLAH"

kanji just gives me hope that one day i'll find friends who accept that about me. ;_;

i mean what you have to remember is that that is a deeply cissexist concept that devalues tons of trans experiences, and it's based on narratives of trans identity created by cis people. yep. when a trans dude goes around telling people off for not meeting his objective trans standards, he's being influenced not by universal rules of transness that occur organically but by the ideas and proclamations of cis people.
it's hard to dismiss a lot of the time. i struggle with the ideas that my identity is "internalized misogyny", and that my divergence from many trans narratives invalidates my gender, too. it is absolutely valid to worry about these things, and to doubt yourself.
and i hope you find security in your identity.
