So there was this guy I met while working at Barnes and Noble. He seemed pretty cool, and despite having been warned by fellow coworkers that taking customers who ask you out up on it was a bad idea, I said yes. The date went pretty okay for a while, then we started talking about my major (which he felt he knew better than me about [spoiler = he didn't]), about religion (WTH) and how I didn't believe in god ("We'll have to work on that", said he. FIRST DATE, may I remind you) and then we left the restaurant, and he was all handsy even while my body language was pretty clearly saying "nope. nope. nope". And then...well, since we were in the parking lot, and he was the one who'd driven us there (MISTAKE), he was like, "How about a kiss?" and I was like sure, whatever, mostly because I wanted to get the hell out of there and didn't want him to make a scene about it. Then he drove me home, and I started to have a panic attack, and when I tried to get out he was like, "No, stay and talk to meeee", and called me a baby for wanting to go inside, but I was like whatever, I'm not comfortable with this, and bailed.

Needless to say I did not return his calls. But! here's why you don't go out with customers when you work retail: he came by the store a couple more times and I had to make concentrated efforts to dodge him.
