I...guess? I normally just explain, and apologize - and change the subject. So far it hasn't really impacted the dates I went on [at least, judging by the fact there was usually another date after that.]

I don't know about you but I'd rather associate with a polite honest man than a polite liar who tries to maintain a ~perfect~ image of themselves.

It was the first date. You don't have to share your bodily functions on the first date.
