Cool story, bro. Lemme ask you a question. Are there any religions you don't believe in? Christianity? Islam? Hinduism? Cause oh my fucking god, if even just ONE of those religions is wrong, that's OVER A BILLION PEOPLE WHO "REALLY DO THINK THAT PEOPLE WHO DON'T EXIST ARE FOR REAL TALKING TO THEM AND THEY HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM!" OMFG THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE DEFINITION OF CRAZY, WHY HAS NO ONE ADDRESSED THIS WORLD CRISIS YET?!? Quick! We have to build a massive worldwide system of institutions that can handle this enormous billion-plus load of people who are DELUSIONAL AND FUCKING INSANE AND THEY NEED HELP, to borrow your oh so scientific terminology.

You wanna help out, right? You're obviously incredibly concerned about the possibility that someone, somewhere in the world might possibly believe in and think they're talking to a being or person who can't be proven to objectively exist beyond a shadow of a doubt, right? You're really concerned about them getting help, right? Better start coming up with a plan to go about figuring out which gods and various other spiritual and supernatural entities don't exist, and how to start rounding up all the people who believe in them and herding them into these nebulous but obviously very important places where those billions of fucking people who believe in people who fucking don't fucking exist can fucking get some fucking help. (Cause everyone knows that saying "fucking" a lot demonstrates an intimate scientific understanding of psychology, and especially of the bits in the DSM about subcultural norms and how the difference between something being a mental illness and not a mental illness is really considered by actual doctors, in some cases, to boil down to whether it causes a person distress.)

Or actually, since you're so knowledgeable about psychology and what makes a person delusional, maybe you should get to write the DSM-V all by yourself and take out all those silly bits about whether a belief causes an individual person distress, and subcultural norms, and stuff like that. I mean, after all, how can doctors' knowledge possibly compare to yours?

Aha! So therefore, if someone's experience falls outside the worldview of rustles the jimmies of "distresses" a random internet troll, it MUST be mental illness...or, to use the medical term, Fucking Insanity. Boom, flawless science logics.

+1. Just because something isn't a 'typical' set of beliefs doesn't mean it's TOTALLY KRAYZEE, etc.
