Notes:

- A request to commenters, some secrets may indeed have more details than others, but please excersise respect instead of commenting with 'tl;dr'! Don't have the attention span to read it? Don't read it. ♥ At the same time, secret-makers, try and see if your secrets can be summed up in fewer words, due to this same reason. That's all!

- Obviously I must never be allowed to count on my 5am self to post and queue secret posts. :3;

3. :D Emperor's New Groove is my favorite Disney movie.
12. Aren't the "suckers" who buy the anime/manga/whatever usually the people who put them on the internet for you to download? :(

What is this craziness you speak of? Don't you know anime falls from the sky with subtitles and is absorbed onto the intarwebs? D:

What is this craziness YOU speak of? I'm absolutely coherent! *runs into a wall*

Well, that's news to me- now I don't have to feel bad for leeching anymore.:I

I suppose so, but the graphic novels are different- people pay for the books, scan them- which takes forever according to my experience- and sometimes translate them.

re 12. Like I know? You don't really think that half the people that download anime/manga give a crap who does it, do you? I know I don't.

tho to clarify: I am thankful that these people put aside their own free time do translate and time and clean and whatnot, but if they suddenly stopped working on a series and another group picked it up, it's not like I'm going to be sad it's not them working on it anymore...unless the other group sucks some srsly hairy balls or something...

[identity profile] zukpo.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
No, I don't expect even 10% of the people who download to take into consideration that the providers had spent time trying to please the fans, even though they probably had much better things to do. I just think they deserve not to be called suckers for their hard work.

Also, yeah- I agree that I'd probably be neutral if a group dropped a project, as long as there was another one to continue it but it would be annoying if, like you said, they really sucked.

Hey, at least you're thankful.

uhhhhhh well I'm not calling the subtitling groups suckers. as I'm aware, they don't BUY their anime, they have someone who is currently living in japan record the show on their tv, then that raw is uploaded to the intarnets and the subbing process begins. only sites I can think of that might need to buy it are the ones that offer the u.s. dvd rips, and honestly even those don't need to be bought if the person doing it works at Suncoast or Blockbuster or something and has the authority to take home or get those sorts of things for really cheap/free as a job perk. I'M JUST SAYIN'

I'm aware of that too, but I was talking about graphic novels or magazines- which you do need to buy for the full story to get online.
