Should I be worried that I've never read Homestuck in my life but still could identify nearly all the characters above?

I keep wanting to read Homestuck-- at least the troll parts-- but I just can't get into it and the fandom seems to have a certain amount of vitriol for the "just here for the trolls" fans, which is a turn-off.

But yeah, I had to stop and ponder for a little bit, but I could still identify most of them.

I can at least identify HOW I know all these - I'm in an RPG with a huge Homestuck cast - but still, it's a worry XD;; (I haven't got into it because, well, having THAT much text is seriously hard for me to read.)

I more or less got into it so I could get to the troll bit. The problem is that the troll bit doesn't make sense without the kids bit before it, and if you don't like the kids bit I doubt you'd like the trolls. It's the same humor.

I don't mind people who got into it for the trolls or just like the trolls better, but I don't understand why anyone would just read the troll part. It's just one part of a whole story and it all fits together, and the humans and trolls have some pretty important and interesting relationships. So if you want to get into it for the trolls, you should! But I recommend reading the whole story. And don't even worry about the fandom. Nobody has to know what you don't tell them.
