Do you have any recs? The only other BL/yaoi/slash comics I've found had shitty art. Teahouse has issues but at least it's pretty. I'm willing to forgive a lot if the art is nice. (femslash recs would be fine too)

TJ and Amal, Best Friends Forever (search for it with "webcomic" at the end or you'll never find it). I've heard O Human Star is good but never read it. knights-errant has some LGBTQ themes and is just starting to get really good.

Also don't limit yourself to just slash webcomics, there are hundreds of really great webcomics out there that don't get half the attention shit like Teahouse does.

Thanks for the recs

I don't just limit myself to slash comics, I just have better luck with finding those other comics. Slash and femslash are the ones I have trouble finding.

More Recs

Because I seem to collect webcomics that have either slash or more legit LGBTQ elements, I may as well share.

In the order that I discovered them.

Goodbye Chains
An anarchist and bandit have adventures in the Wild West.

Mahou Shounen Fight!
Lovingly comedic magical girl parody where four boys team up with the spirits of the seasons to stop malicious spirits causing trouble.
http://www.mahoushounenfight.com/

Prince of Cats
Story of two friends during their senior year of high school, and things get especially eventful after one is outed. There's also a side plot with talking cats and granting wishes, but that hasn't fully come up yet.

Girls With Slingshots
The (mostly drunken) daily adventures of Hazel, her best friend Jamie, and their social circle as they try to find paying jobs, love, and their way through life. Hazel is technically the protagonist, but there are tons of named characters within the cast who get a fair share of development and the spotlight. Included among the heteronormative couples/characters are one gay drag queen, three lesbians, one bisexual, and one romantic asexual.

A note on the art: The artist's style has definitely changed throughout the years she's been working on the comic. However, it noticeable smoother out around fifty strips in. If you want to see an example closest to her recent (and probably more permanent style) check out the cast page. It's a comic with continuity and plenty of references to past characters/events so you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you skipped anything.

Some other webcomics I like:

Tiny Pink Robots
The daily adventures of Rori as she goes through life and tries to commit to her daily comic strip. (Her husband behind is a reoccurring character, who may be known for his own comic, Pictures of You -I don't read that one, but a friend of mine loves it.)

That Deaf Guy
The silly antics of the eponymous deaf guy and his family, or how they find humor in some of the challenges in leaving in a hearing world.

The art is iffy but the story is great for The Carp on the Chopping Block Jumps Twice is good.

Love Stage is one of my favorites though. There are a few issues with it, and it does have some of the yaoi cliches but overall I'm enjoying it.

Thanks, I'll check them out.

Tripping Over You has amazing artwork and likeable characters :) Not to mention that the writing is quite good too.

Strafighter is a slash comic with AMAZING art

(Anonymous) 2012-12-13 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
I disagree so hard, Starfighter is fucking terrible. Also, blatantly traced.

Not nearly as terrible as Teahouse though.

Do tell more about the tracing. Links? Evidence?
