So, so many ugly kinds of guys surrounding that poor girl, no wonder she looks freaked out.

oh, I don't know, I'd bang at least two of them, especially the brown one. different strokes.

then again I'm more about the quality of the fuck as opposed the the aesthetic perfectness. Nothing worse than a pretty boy that thinks all he needs to do is bring a dick for it to be a party.

what I'm trying to say is, that's just, like, your opinion.

Some of them are kinda cute. That South Asian guy is, imo.

I think Sheldon is far more attractive than the majority of the "ooh he's so hot~" male lead TV character. ymmv.

I'm like, 80% positive that before this show ends, there's gonna be some kind of dream sequence world-flip where Sheldon and Leonerd etal are the regular joes and Penny is the geeky genius.

I never understood why everyone is creeping on Penny in that picture. I could understand Leonard and Howard. MAYBE Raj. But definitely not Sheldon.

That promotional poster is, like, every reason I don't watch that show, summed up in one picture.

I can usually understand why people like things even when I don't like them, but this show is one of the few exceptions.

That's...a really creepy picture. It reminds me of that one awful Burger King ad about the super seven incher or whatever, and I don't know why advertisers still make pictures like this.

I couldn't get into this show because they played up the "HAHA THIS HOT GIRL DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT NERD STUFF BECAUSE SHE'S A HOT GIRL" thing. Also, almost all of the guys remind me of dudes I've met IRL and hated with a fiery passion. So, no.

That wasn't something they played up; that was the actual premise of the show when they created it. It's changed a lot since then and now some people like it who didn't used to and vice versa.

I wish people would stop giving this stupid fucking show attention that it doesn't deserve and let it die already.

It's creepy, unfunny and just plain painfully bad.

Then don't watch it. Millions more people watch this than plenty of fandom-popular shows. Clearly millions of people disagree with you.

BBT is one of those shows where I like catching some scenes on youtube, and I find the canon a fun jumping-off point for fic (my gender/roleswap fics, let me show you them!) but I don't watch it regularly.

Hows about we have that show instead? Somebody write that show! Have it be about a geeky girl struggling in a man's world, playing video games on the weekends with her friends and waiting in line for the midnight showing of the Hobbit and saving up to go to Comic Con. And she invites over her average joe neighbors and introduces them to the awesomeness that is geekiness (maybe they meet because they're both playing a video game and the average joes are embarrassed and she's excited that she's got co-opt players living right next door?)

Or we could just watch The Guild. But there should be more than one option for "show with a geeky female lead and it's about being geeky." Seriously.

Personally, I read Weregeek. Much better understanding of geeks than TBBT, and it's got like, geeky female characters and stuff, oh my god.

I dunno, as a geeky female I can relate a lot to the guys. :shrug:

Same here. Aside from Amy's character-bastardization, I really don't have any problems with the show that so many people here seem to hate it for.

I love the idea of lady-geeks on TV, but what do you mean "average Joes"? Like hot dumb guys, or just totally middle-of-the-road dudes?
