Seconded. I had someone who was doing similar things, and I just ditched them. (There were other non-fandom related issues present too, however.) Still OP, I think you'd be best to pack your things and get away from this person, not stick around. They aren't going to change.

I kinda agree with everyone replying here, but...

It really isn't that easy to break off friendships. It isn't necessarily a super simple situation. It could be someone OP feels they owe something to, or someone they used to like and formed a close bond with, or someone they think is going through a phase, or someone with close mutual friends where a breakoff would cause drama, or someone they still like for other reasons, or maybe even someone who isn't really that obnoxious and OP is really oversensitive and knows it.

Among other possibilities.

I'm not going to be so quick to judge since I have basically no info. OP's friend doesn't sound like a charmer or anything, but I hope it works out of the best whichever way it goes.

100% this. Sometimes, you just need to break it off and hope for the best - but even then, it's not always easy to do.
