Oh, can't you go and look it up for yourself? The book even has a website: http://nothingtoenvy.com/

Orrr OP could say something about the book other than "Read it" so people can decide if they want to, rather than wasting their time on something uninteresting.

You're on F!S! Your time as already been wasted. Check the website, it has a synopsis of the book.

No.

Come on, be mature now.

I fail to see how requesting information to back up an order is immature.

You sound like a surly teenager. Come on, go check the website out. Do something for yourself.

I am 30 years old and I don't feel the need to do things just because someone on the internet tells me to. If a good enough description of the book was given, I might've looked into it further. I really have no interest because you/OP/whoever is too lazy to back up the rec.

You're thirty years old, and you can't even muster up the energy to read the provided synopsis of a book recommended to you? Click on the link. It has all the information you need to know.

I have plenty of energy. What I haven't got is the will to go to another website to find out information when someone on this website said, "Read this book" and didn't bother backing up the statement with facts. What that tells me is it's not worth it.

you're being passive aggressive for no reason

that's why it's immature

Re: Nothing To Envy: Real Lives In North Korea

(Anonymous) 2012-12-18 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
That's not passive aggressive. That's expecting people to back up their fucking statements in conversation instead of saying, essentially, "I can't be bothered to explain why I think this. Go read what someone else said on the topic".

Re: Nothing To Envy: Real Lives In North Korea

(Anonymous) 2012-12-18 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
but you're doing it in a passive aggressive way

Re: Nothing To Envy: Real Lives In North Korea

(Anonymous) 2012-12-18 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
No, I'm not.

Yes you aaaaare.

Re: Nothing To Envy: Real Lives In North Korea

(Anonymous) 2012-12-18 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
I suggest you go look up the definition of the term. I'm not going to continue this conversation with you.

You're on F!S! Your time as already been wasted.

You're being a bit silly imo, but I still like this line. Thanks for the laugh. (And it is true...)

DA- the website has an excerpt and there are typos in it. The book is definitely not worth reading and OP is a moron.

"Sometimes a group of teenage boys would career into her path trying to knock her off the bicycle."

You might want to bother looking things up in a dictionary next time anon.

career - intransitive verb

1: To move or run at full speed; rush.

"Sometimes a group of teenage boys would move at full speed into her path trying to knock her off the bicycle."

Based on the website, that doesn't look like a very good book at all, tbh. What did you like about it? Why do you recommend it? You might want to link people to the amazon page because it includes actual reviews of the book and even the opportunity to look inside so readers can determine if the like the author's writing style or not. Much better than READ IT!!!!!

I'm reading the preview right now and imo it's pretty good.
