OMG. and the Repubs thought that she was unfit for office because of her "bizarre double life".

My Dad's a Republican that's into Glen Beck and stuff. (Although he might register as independent soon, but that's because he's mad that the tea party's getting pushed out by the Republican party. Yeah.)

He's also the guy that got me into Star Wars, he's super into Geek and Sundry and basically everything Felicia Day does, and he took my mother to see Teen Wolf on their first date.

So yeah, I have no idea how they thought that wouldn't alienate people.

EDIT: also I was going to make a joke about Republicans knitting and then I remembered she knitted while grinding stuff on WOW so that joke doesn't even work.
