I don't like alcohol. Not even for moral reasons. I just hate the way alcoholic drinks taste.

That shouldn't be an unpopular opinion! No one should make you feel ashamed for not liking alcohol.

I don't either.

Additionally, at the age when everybody was trying out alcohol, I was terrified of lowering my inhibitions, mostly because I was afraid of accidentally coming out while drunk. And now, even if I were to get over the nasty taste, I'd feel strange to start drinking at this age.

If it makes you feel better I hate it too. I don't care if other people drink around me. Heck, if I had a car right now I'd probably be a few of my friends best designated driver. I just don't like drinking though.

Why is this an unpopular opinion? If you don't like the taste, that's fine. I'm the same. While I don't like the idea of being drunk I have tried alcohol I thought it tasted terrible. No harm or shame in that.

I have actually seen this opinion around here quite a bit.

I personally love to drink but never to the point of being tipsy/drunk. I just don't see the point in that? which isn't an unpopular opinion here (I don't think) but it is in certain places irl. (I imagine yours would be too.)

For a lot of people the whole point of drinking is getting drunk. For me...it's not. I like the taste of some drinks. But I know people who don't like any drinks or don't react well to even small amounts of alcohol and there's nothing wrong with that either.

Same here. Even if I get a drink mixed well enough to completely mask the taste, I don't actually want to get drunk, so there's no point. Might as well just have a soda.

Same here. I'm really sensitive to the taste of alcohol, and have yet to find anything alcoholic I would actually enjoy the experience of drinking -- certainly nothing that I would prefer over its non-alcoholic equivalent.

Which is fine; alcohol is expensive.

Me too. Yet despite this opinion I still get lots of annoying pressure from family to drink. I'll occasionally do so just to get them to shut up. Otherwise I am not a drinker at all.
