Also, I feel obligated to share the fact that my immediate reaction to that scene in "Victory of the Daleks" where the Doctor loses his shit and starts whaling on the Tea Dalek with the wrench was "D'awww, he must be remembering what his old companion taught him!"

Ace is one of my favorite companions! I'd love to see her return.

Ace and Seven are so great. I need to get my hands on their latest audios once I get christmas money.

Turlough is the companion I most want to see again. But Ace comes second. She should totally be in UNIT.

I wanted to be her so bad when I was a kid. I was 8 and 9 when she was on.

If you want a great fix for your "Ace meets Eleven" longings, try "Dragons of the Mind" by lyricwritesprose. (Should be on Teaspoon and probably AO3 as well.) No failed attempts at r-rolling, alas, but everything about that fic is magnificent and Eleven is a Seven-esque manipulative bastard for good reasons and it contains one of my favorite lines from a fanfic ever near the end.

I want to want this, really badly. Ace is awesome, my favorite Old! Who companion, and tied at the top of the list even in the new stuff. Ace is well, pretty ace, all things said and done.

I would love to want to see her in Doctor Who again but the fact is I'm kind of afraid of what they'd do to her, especially with Moffat at the wheel.

I know the ending they picked for her in the series could have been worse - I think in one of the comics they have her shot and killed on the moon? - but...I was kind of really disappointed. Obviously I have nothing against charity work, or people running charities, but to have her end up, 'the woman who runs A Charitable Earth' hurt a little.

This is the girl that, if the show hadn't gone on hiatus when it did, was going to be taken to the Prydonian Academy. The girl who in the books, iirc, at least at some point gets a motorcycle that travels in time and starts patrolling it.

It's wrong, I know. And I'd probably be happy if they did in any case but.. I probably wouldn't watch, haven't been, so I'm kind of null. xD

OMG yes. This would be SO awesome and it must be done!

I want her back as a middle-aged mother of teenage children as bratty and rebellious as she used to be. Then she gets involved in an adventure with the Doctor and shows just how badass she still is, much to the surprise and amazement of her children.
