Nobody that I have seen have been suggesting that mentally ill people need to be locked up and have their rights taken away. Nor have I seen anyone suggesting that reform of our mental health system is only because "The Sane People can feel safe."

It seems you are reading into everything with a very skewed view and projecting your own issues onto the information. Step back and take a breath and re-read what's upsetting you so much and try to see another way of looking at it, perhaps acknowledging that your first interpretation might not be right.

I am a mentally ill person. I have absolutely no problem with people talking about reform services for the mentally ill. I would be very happy to have more support and easier to get that support.

I also don't think a mentally stable person is going to go shoot up a school, a mall, anywhere. I think anyone who goes on a shooting and killing spree is mentally ill in some manner.

Links please? I too have not seen anyone seriously talking about all mentally ill people needing to be locked up or having their rights taken away.
