Well it was never properly even there in the first place. Aurora is technically in love with her prince and Mulan is platonically loyal to the prince. This is stated multiple times, though neither did much about it all season long so it was easy to forget about him. But now they are off to go actively rescue him, and presumably they'll succeed.
