Why don't they just... I don't know, go bald or something? Like is there some specific mythology concerning CATS or like... are they ears just some random marker of virginity for no real reason?

I have no idea why she chose to use cat ears! And losing hair wouldn't really work as well, because wigs that match your hair would be harder than ears, because it's a plot point to wear fake ears.

I get you don't like catboy/catgirls, but god you don't have to insult or think less of people who do. It's just a silly, cute thing.

Uhhhhhhh I'm not the OP, don't explode at me.

I was just wondering whether the cat ears were an arbitrary choice of marker or not. I mean if the race of people in the manga world like had some connection to cats or something it'd be a lot less random and less easy to consider it "lol cat ears are cute" fangirlism.

Someone above said that they should go murder people who like catpeople (I know it was a joke, but still.) I wasn't really ranting at you, as much as the idea that I should be looked down on because I happen to like something that means nothing, really. It's really like bitching at people for liking a certain color you hate.

I figure she just likes catpeople, and chose to use that in her manga. I like, say, writing, friendship turned romance, so it's a big thing in my original work.

Well, I wouldn't like to be murdered because of what I like. AGAIN I DON'T THINK THAT PERSON WOULD. However, it's annoying.

Because she wants to write it that way! Also, again, the melting thing would have problems because a big issue in the series is often HIDING THE FACT YOU HAD SEX. So the melting thing wouldn't work.

What mildly irritates me is rival!slash, I don't go and bash people for their tastes, do I?
