7. It it were a straight couple, I'd still think it was just an overload of cat people kink. Why the cat ears? Why? It actually pisses me off a lot because I know a bit about the manga story and it's mildly intriguing, and it COULD have potential, but the cat ears are ridiculous.

The boy/boy fanservice, whether it's boy/boy, girl/girl, or boy/girl, is just so much that I can't take it. My not-so-much-a-secret is I get annoyed when people keep telling me how great it is and how I haven't given it a chance. I watched the series, I've read a bit, I'm up to date on the spoilers courtesy of friends who are fans, and for your reasons and then some, I still have the same opinion you hate.

Ironic, I don't think too highly of Clamp either. I'm also amused by all the cat ear wank on here. So funny XD

heh. Is this the one people were saying a while ago, would be really creepy in real life and have so many social consequences, if all the virgins had cat ears? lol...

Most likely. See, that aspect of it is actually interesting because it takes the social pressure regarding sex and amplifies it, but the fact that the manga-ka chose to use cat ears as her 'virgin' and 'innocence' symbol totally destroys the potential for this to make any meaningful social commentary imo. *sigh* Completely ruined it for me.
