Well first, read the comic again. Secondly, one thing hasnt' changed: If you want it, Hussie will deny you it. And specifically make a page mocking you about it.

Yeah, there is a gigantic amount of talent, of all sorts, being poured into Homestuck. It's pretty impressive.

....WRT secret, I don't hate Jake and I don't want him to die, but I have to say that his conversation with Erisolsprite was....really disturbing to me. I mean, Erisolsprite was openly saying in so many words that he wanted to die and that he thought about exploding himself every day, and Jake was laughing his head off and calling it the funniest thing he'd ever heard? There's a point at which cluelessness stops being a personality flaw and becomes pathological.

Agreed with this =/ frankly Jake is just generally somewhat annoying to me. He's so clueless and self-centered. (Although the Jane situation was largely not his fault, he is still handling that very badly. And his treatment of Erisolsprite was beyond abysmal =/)

Yeah, Erisolsprite was a little over-the-top, and it's just fiction, so I'm being way oversensitive, but still, it seemed pretty insensitive of Jake (a character I usually find pretty amusing) to just chortle at Erisolsprite and keep obliviously commenting on how funny it all was.
