I thought most fans felt like you do because no one liked the ending. Am I mistaken?

The Tumblr response was overwhelmingly positive, but that could just be Tumblr. Some people really did like the ending, though -- I can't understand why!

Ugh, Tumblr. They either lovingly adore something or absolutely hate it. There is no in-between. So I'm surprised they went with love rather than hate I'm going to say maybe some of these supporters are people hoping for a "fix" to the ending.

Really? I haven't met any of them but I'm glad they exist. At least someone somewhere out there likes it.

A thread on the ANN forums also showed a lot of people who really liked the ending. Which surprised me because I absolutely hated it, it was bad enough to bring down the entire series, which was one of my favourites before. Really not sure what to think of this continuation, I really don't have much faith in CLAMP anymore.

The first promo picture for the live action looks decent enough though, so the jury's still out on that one.

Interesting. I'm not looking forward to this and won't have anything to do with it but I'm glad some people will appreciate it. I hope they enjoy it.
