I'm sure most people who become famous are at least aware of that fact, but that doesn't make it acceptable behaviour. You might as well say that since some kids will always be horrible brats we can't fight bullying in schools. :/

Kids being bullied on a playground is hardly comparable to an anonymous comment online about the appearance of a person who will most likely never come across it.

But when you pick on someone based on weight, you aren't just telling them that they're repulsive (behind their back or otherwise). You're telling anyone who has the same body shape that they're inherently repulsive and ugly too. That's the biggest problem with the culture of celebrity body shaming. You're nominally doing it at them in their general direction where they, personally, will likely never see, but you're actually doing it among other people who have just as many or more and sometimes even the exact same so-called flaws.

Well, if you ask Fat-is-like-self-harm!Anon above, obviously the solution is to just give them all the extra flesh fat people are carrying. That sounds like a completely viable idea. /sarcasm

ETA: Okay, so this was kind of a cheap shot, and I should probably apologize in advance. I'm still kind of warblegarble'd at that comparison, even after stepping away to play video games and calm the fuck down for a couple hours.
