The pairing came out of nowhere AND to get to it the writers felt the need to assassinate Britta's character and make her weaker, dumber, and in need of a good man to save her from herself.

/still bitter.

Yeah, I love how one episode it's all "Britta only likes men who're mean to her but Troy is so different" and then the next one he's calling her the worst.

The saddest thing is, I'm definitely a Troy/Abed shipper but if the pairing had been written correctly and without character assassination, squicky anti-feminist themes, and lying about child molestation (i.e. how their reactions with each other in season 1 played out) it would have won me over. I love Britta and Troy and I want them to be happy and honestly I feel like this relationship is going to make the both of them miserable.

I honestly actually shipped Britta/Troy after the S1 episode with they danced together. But ever since the fandom (and the writers) seemed to be pairing them up to leave the way clear for Jeff/Annie...in really questionable ways...yeah, no.

In all honesty I love them dearly together in Basic Genealogy (the one where Troy's nana shows up and Britta has to get the switch because she's proving a point that Troy's nana isn't actually that bad). And the dance episode was great too! The pairing really did have potential but the writers soured it hard.
