As a matter of fact, someone is: me. I have a good career and work hard. I am not spoiled. Beyond a $50 check from my parents every Christmas (which is also my birthday), I have never taken anything from them even though they are very wealthy. I worked my way through college and graduate school, I bought my own house, and I paid for my own wedding. I've bought every car I've ever owned and paid for the insurance, too, even as a teenager. My dissatisfaction with my parents right now is based on principle.

Only entitled people think people are supposed to be impressed when they go on about how they work hard, for normal people that's a given. Guess what, you're an adult, all the shit you mentioned about working your own way through school, paying for your own wedding and shit? I did that. Most adults do that shit. I'm guessing the reasons why your parents didn't shower you with money was to make you a well-adjusted, self-reliant individual but you sure don't sound like it.

Your parents don't owe you jack shit, I have a wealthy grandfather who hasn't given me any money my entire adult life, never helped my family out in the slightest even when we were struggling to put food on the table, in fact, he hasn't even spoken to me since I was 15. I would fucking shit myself if he sent me a card for Christmas, I'd probably cry tears of joy, actually, to know that he even thinks about me

Parents *do* owe their kids things, though. Not beyond their means, but yes, they owe their kids what they can afford. Grandparents don't owe their children's children anything. Maybe that's only in my family because we're all white.
