It's the principle. The amount is irrelevant but to put it into perspective, the amount they have always given me is less than a tenth of a percent of my monthly salary and less than 1/1000 of the interest they earn on their mutual funds (which is a pittance compared to all of their other incomes). I don't care about the money; I care that something changed and I don't know what it is. I care that they didn't spend even a few seconds thinking about me when sending out Christmas cards. I care that instead of sending cards this year, they had a picture printed and then sent that to everyone. Yes, they have many people to send Christmas cards, but I am their daughter and honestly believe that I am entitled to something, absolutely anything, more than their friends and business associates.

You seriously just made my Christmas. Since we're not a close family, the annual Christmas cards are a very big deal to me. They're the closest my parents get to showing affection. I will never ask and so may never know, but I'm going to believe this is what happened unless they tell me otherwise. Thank you!
